Kimberly Trujillo

Kimberly Trujillo was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She is majoring in biology at Sacramento City College with the intention of transferring to a UC to study Biochemistry and/or Molecular Biology. She is a passionately driven student who is deeply fascinated with biology and chemistry. She aims to inspire and empower women to pursue careers in STEM.

Kimberly joined the Gutierrez group to establish a foundation in research, expanding her knowledge in computational chemistry and plans to continue doing research in the future. She is actively involved on campus by being the President of PTK Honors Society, member of MESA, and is part of the Honors Program at Sacramento City College where she makes a lasting impact in her community by connecting with fellow STEM students and building leadership skills. Her love for science continues to grow as she hopes to pursue a career in STEM and higher education, while also impacting her community.

Outside of academics, Kimberly enjoys listening to music, discovering local coffee shops, practicing photography, and baking.
