Allan D. Godinez
Allan Dorian Godinez was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He is currently a student at Sacramento City College, with plans to transfer and aspirations of one day attending graduate school. If he could be described in one word, it would be “experimentalist”; driven by pure curiosity and a desire to learn. Looking ahead, he aims to pursue a degree in chemistry with a focus on molecular synthesis, while remaining open to new directions that curiosity and experience may reveal. Allan currently works in the Sacramento City College Chemistry Stockroom, where he helps set up laboratories, prepare solutions, and manage reagents. This role has provided him with hands-on experience in laboratory operations and safe handling of chemicals, complementing his academic studies with practical skills. He received an Honorable Mention at the Second Annual Sacramento City College Undergraduate Research Conference and Awards Ceremony for his work on HPLC-DAD method development for cannabinoid analysis. In addition, he was awarded Student of the Year (2025) by the Department of Chemistry at SCC, an honor recognized by the California State Senate.
