Madi Cha

Madi was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She is currently attending Sacramento City College where she is studying biology. She plans to transfer to UC Irvine to further specialize in biochemistry and molecular biology. She joined Dr. Gutierrez's group in Spring 2025 through a research course instructed by Professor William Miller at Sacramento City College where she studied iron catalyzed reactions and computational chemistry. Madi hopes to continue research throughout her undergraduate years and plans to attend grad school someday. In her free time, Madi loves to cook, watch football, spend time with friends and family and travel.
