Audrey Melendez

Audrey Melendez was born and raised in Bakersfield. She is an undergraduate student at
UCLA majoring in Biochemistry. She has a passion for medicine and creating change within the healthcare system. She desires to become an Oncologist. Audrey has a love for science and she enjoys broadening her horizon. Audrey has joined Dr. Gutierrez’s group to apply her chemistry knowledge and learn how alternative organic molecules can help a patient in a way that is cost effective, low toxicity levels, and abundant. Outside of her studies, she loves volunteering with kids at church, hospital volunteering, journaling, and going on new adventures.
