Prof. Zachary Gvildys

Dr. Zachary Gvildys was born in Vallejo, CA in the Bay area. He started his college education at Long Beach City College after dropping out of Long Beach Polytechnic high school. He transferred and earned his B.S. in Physical Chemistry from UCLA where he stayed to receive his PhD in Theoretical Computational Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Robijn Bruinsma. He is a recently hired community college professor teaching at Long Beach City College and West Lost Angeles College. His research interest is in the numerical modelling of equilibrium and non-equilibrium biological systems and general problems in computational chemistry. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, watching anime, recreational sports (basketball, soccer, pickleball) and computer games.
