Hanshika grew up in Lucknow, India, a city known for its culinary heritage. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Lucknow and went on to earn her master’s from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. During her master’s studies under the supervision of Prof. M. S. Balakrishna, she investigated ruthenium pincer complexes and explored their catalytic applications in organic synthesis. In 2024, Hanshika joined Dr. Gutierrez’s research group, where she began working on iron-catalyzed multicomponent cross-coupling reactions and open-shell transformations, integrating experimental and DFT computational approaches. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, organizing her space, and watching thriller shows
