Elena Garcia was born and raised in Orange County, California. She is currently an undergraduate majoring in psychobiology and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. Elena is fascinated by the diverse application of chemistry and aims to harness organic molecules for medical innovation that improves the accessibility and resource efficiency of treatments. She joined Dr. Gutierrez’s group in Winter 2026. Outside of her studies, she enjoys camping, thrifting, and eating good food with friends and family.
