Danny is an undergraduate student at Cal State San Marcos and a UCLA CSRC STEM Summer Scholar in the Gutierrez Group. This summer, Danny is interested in learning more about iron-catalyzed radical cross-coupling chemistry, Grignard reagents, and the role of ligands in catalysis. His strongest background is in organic synthesis, and he hopes to build on that experience while preparing to apply to Ph.D. programs in chemistry. Outside of the lab, Danny enjoys playing soccer and listening to music.
