Allan Godinez

Allan was born and raised in Sacramento, California, where he attended Sacramento City College before transferring to San Diego State University to pursue a B.S. in Chemistry. His involvement with the Gutierrez Lab began through a computational chemistry outreach class, where he learned to perform mechanistic investigations using density functional theory. He then joined the lab in person as a summer undergraduate researcher. After completing his undergraduate degree, Allan plans to pursue a Ph.D. to continue challenging himself while conducting research at the highest level. Outside of the lab, Allan enjoys cooking elaborate meals and playing the occasional game of billiards.
