Abir Algazairy

Abir Algazairy was born and raised in Los Angeles to a family of Syrian immigrants. She is currently a student at California State University, Long Beach, where she plans to earn her second degree in Chemical Engineering. She is known for being outgoing, artistic, and eager to embrace new and challenging ideas, driven by a strong sense of curiosity. She hopes to pursue a career in the petroleum industry, where she can apply her engineering knowledge to improve the efficiency and sustainability of petroleum extraction and production. Her long-term goal is to contribute to research focused on developing more environmentally responsible methods for recovering and processing petroleum resources while helping reduce their environmental impact. Outside of academics, Abir enjoys painting, crocheting, and spending time with her cats.
