Elizabeth Pilster

Elizabeth was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She is currently attending UCLA, where she is completing her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She joined Dr. Gutierrez’s group in Fall 2025 to study iron-catalyzed cross coupling reactions and to deepen her passion for organic synthesis and its applications. Elizabeth hopes to gain valuable research experience to prepare for graduate school, with plans to pursue a Ph.D. in chemistry with a focus in organic chemistry. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, reading, and playing with her dog.
