Memona Zafar (G2)

Memona Zafar is a first-year graduate student from Pakistan. She hails from Bahawalpur, where she completed her early education and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In 2022, she joined the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) for her master's degree, working under the supervision of Dr. Rahman Shahzaib Saleem. Her research focused on drug discovery targeting Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and dementia, specifically the synthesis of organic compounds as potential tubulin polymerization inhibitors to address multidrug resistance in anti-tumour activities. In 2024, Memona joined the O.G. research group. She is now working on multicomponent cross-coupling iron-catalysed reactions and
computational chemistry.  Beyond her academic pursuits, Memona enjoys shopping, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
